About the Founder
Dr Mariane is the founder of Furry Farewells. With over 10 years of experience as a veterinarian, she has seen many grieving families. She created Furry Farewells because she wanted to accompany people when it is time to say goodbye to their beloved pets and to honour the bond they share with them by contributing to their peaceful passing.
Clients have often expressed their gratitude for the care and sensitive manner she brings, helping them feel supported without intruding on their feelings during such challenging moments.

Dr Mariane completed advanced training in palliative care and euthanasia to ensure her services are in line with the latest recommendation of care and wellbeing.

Sustainability Statement
At Furry Farewells, we understand that environmental sustainability affects all animal, whether they are our beloved pets, farm animals or wildlife. That's why we are committed to a carbon neutral journey. Here are some of the steps we have already taken:
- Our offices are solar powered
- Our business cards are printed on 100% recycled paper, using eco inks and green electricity from Sustainable Printing Co.
- We do our banking with financial institutions that do not invest in fossil fuels
- We use environmentally friendly transportation wherever possible (and when that's not possible, we use carbon offsets to counteract the carbon emissions we generate)
- We contribute to environmental sustainability in the veterinary world through volunteer work with Vets for Climate Action
